You will agree with me that as a human, we spend a third of our lives fall asleep, so it shouldn’t be surprising that many people die in their sleep. Many of us have heard or see people who die in their sleep. This means that it is a general health disaster. In Nigeria, there are many cases of people who are reported who died in their sleep and this has made many people wonder why this happened, some even fear of sleeping at night.
Sleep is considered a dead brother by several people. Dangerous things about death mode are that everyone is young and old, even those who are sick and healthy. There are cases of healthy people who died in their sleep.
It’s important to know why this happens to humans. There are various causes of death in sleep, but in this article, we will focus on three main causes. Don’t miss reading Proven 11 best way to lose 10 pounds every week
It’s sad for someone without a disease that is known to sleep only for them not waking up the next morning. But what does it mean to die in your sleep; how did it happen from the start?
Medical professionals show that there are health and scientific explanations for this.
1. Apnea sleep center
Apparently, the brain remains active even when someone sleeps. Research conducted by scientists from the University of California argues that the loss of cumulative cells in the brain area that controls breathing can be the cause.
This condition is referred to as the central sleep apnea. This is a disturbance in which a person breathes repeatedly stops and starts when sleeping and it happens because the brain does not send the right signal to the muscles that control one’s breathing. This condition can cause sudden heart death.
2. Sudden death syndrome (SDS).
Dr. Kenneth Ruzindana explained that some cases of this rare condition are largely due to sudden death syndrome, which is a loosely defined umbrella term for a series of heart syndrome which causes sudden heart stops and the possibility of death.
He said that some of these syndromes are the result of structural problems in the heart. And find time to take a look at these 9 Proven foods that enhances sleep
3. Heart electric channels
“Others may be the result of irregularities in the heart electricity channel. All can cause unexpected and sudden heart stops, even in healthy people. Some people die as a result,” he said.
Dr. Ruzindana noted that most people did not know they had syndrome until a heart attack occurred.
“Many SDS cases are not properly diagnosed. When someone with elementary school dies, deaths can be registered as natural causes or heart attacks. But if post-mortem is done to understand the right cause, they might be able to detect signs of one SDS syndrome” Add medical.
Dr. Wilbur Bushara explained that the concentration of high carbon monoxide has the potential to be killed in a few minutes.
4. Household appliances
Household appliances, such as gas fires and central heating systems, are sources of carbon monoxide.
Dr. Bushara said that even though this gas did not have a smell or sound, it was very deadly explaining that this happened because it seized oxygen blood.
“If this gas accumulates in a room, for example, it can be toxic. When someone breathes a lot and it accumulates in the lungs, it can be very deadly, especially if someone falls asleep. But if they wake up, they can at least experience symptoms, like Wooziness, the weakness of the body and a little headache, among others, “he said.
5. Cerebral Aneurysm.
He also highlights that several other factors that can trigger death during sleep include; Cerebral Aneurysm – The abnormal focus widening of the artery in the brain produced from the weakening of the muscle layer in the blood vessel wall.
The ship developed widening “blister-like” which could be thin and broken without warning, and such bleeding can cause strokes or even death.
6. Heart attack widow maker
There is also a heart attack of a widow maker. Medics explained that this type of heart attack occurred when the left main artery was blocked. While other forms of heart attack can regret the victim against their conscience before death occurs, this particular is not.
7. Carbon monoxide poisoning
Carbon monoxide, or co, is a colorless and odourless gas that can be deadly if it is exhaled to the lungs too much. It can be found in smoke originating from running cars, generators, stoves, grills, fireplaces, gas ranges, furnaces, and so on, and are almost impossible to detect unless the carbon monoxide detector is used.
How does it kill? Basically, if it’s enough to accumulate in a fairly small room, it breathes it can become a poison. And if you breathe it enough, it’s just that in your lungs it can be enough to “seal a deal” in a very last way.
If you wake up, the victim can experience symptoms such as dizziness, weakness, headaches, or abdominal pain. But what if it catches you when you sleep? Well, people who sleep often don’t experience symptoms, and they can die in their sleep even before they realize that it happens.
8. Myocardial infarction.
Myocardial infarction, better known as a heart attack, can occur during sleep, although fortunately, the possibility is good enough that this type of special Cardiac event will wake the victim before killing them.
A heart attack occurs when blood flow to the heart is blocked. This blockage can destroy the heart muscle parts.

How does it kill? If the heart tissue is quite damaged, the heart may not be strong enough to pump blood throughout the body. This can cause heart failure, which can be deadly if medical treatment is not immediately obtained.
Unfortunately, it is usually impossible for victims of a heart attack to seek medical attention if they fall asleep, and that’s a scary part.
