Horse racing tips tomorrow: Templegate Nap and best bets for a busy Monday

TEMPLEGATE is back to help you kick off the week in style with his racing tips for Monday.

SunSport’s top tipster reckons you put the boot into the bookies at Musselburgh if you follow his selections.

BOOTLEGGER (2.25, nap)

He took a big step forward on his second run of the season over fences at Market Rasen 18 days ago. He was probably held up for a little too long before finishing with a rattle to grab the runner-up spot. He’s on a handy mark compared to his hurdles rating.

SHINOBI (1.35 Ludlow, nb)

Shinobi went well at Wincanton last time, cashing on his main rival’s late tumble to score going away. That was his second win in three spins over timber and there’s more to come.

MR WASHINGTON (2.45 Ludlow, treble)

He comes from in-form Tom Symonds and lagged in at Chepstow two weeks ago. He should have no issue with this step up in distance and is capable of better.

11.35 Luck Of Clover

Showed promise when fourth on debut at Newbury and down in grade.

12.05 Gaelik Coast

Decent hurdler who already looks better over fences.

12.40 Cremant Up

A fair 5lb for winning well last time out.

1.15 Ardera Cross

Has looked more like his old self on his past two runs.

1.50 Two Blondes

Overdue a win but showed positive signs at Sedgefield latest.

Came with a late rattle when second at Rasen last time.

3.00 Green Zone

Knocking on the door and looks on a fair weight.

3.35 Mind Your Back

Good effort at Plumpton and longer trip could help.

12.25 Long Stay

Good second on hurdles and debut and capable of better.

1.00 Mr Palmtree

Two good wins and can defy large rise in the weights.

1.35 Shinobi (nb)

Has double penalty but is in cracking form and can score again.

2.10 Atlantic Storm

Good win at Hereford latest and this isn’t any harder.

2.45 Mr Washington (treble)

Plenty in hand when winning on comeback last time.

3.20 House Island

Showed lots of promise when second on his chase debut latest.

3.55 Belatrix Lestrange

Good winner over course and distance last time out.

12.50 Captain Morgs

Easy Ascot winner last time and should be much too good.

1.25 Shiskin

Supreme Novices’ Hurdle winner who could be a chasing superstar.

2.00 Cill Anna

Forget comeback run, was in cracking form through last season.

2.35 Lock’s Corner

Has won past four chases and fit from a spin over hurdles.

3.10 Tel’Art

Good sixth in hotter race at Cheltenham last time out.

3.45 The Twisler

Two good wins heading here and still on fair enough mark.

4.15 Iris Bud

Longer trip can be key to gaining first victory.

4.45 Orientalism

Lots of promise when second on debut at Nottingham.

5.15 Casaruan

Best over course and distance, still looks on fair mark.

5.45 Rhubarb Bikini

Good second on comeback from 10 months off last time.

6.15 Pearl Beach

Big improvement when scoring at Wolverhampton latest.

6.45 Burning Sun

Solid fourth here last time and this looks no tougher.

7.15 Jorvik Prince

Capable of landing fourth win over course and distance.
