All you need to know about Texas’ US Senate Election 2020 candidates John Anthony Castro & Senator John Cornyn

As the years progress, so too does the race for US Senate, which after many debates, elections, and caucuses, gets decided on the basis of electoral votes. What makes the US elections extremely crucial is the fact that they are monitored closely from across the globe, and for a better reason. And this time, from among Texas’ US Senate election 2020, the two contesting candidates who have stolen the limelight so far and attracted massive media coverage are John Anthony Castro and Senator John Cornyn.

Cornyn, who became the first elected Republican Texas general attorney general in 1998, is a popular face and name in the eyes of Texans. He particularly rose to fame in 1990, when he was elected to the Texas Supreme Court and later, whilst being elected to the US senate in 2002. But of late, Castro, the former Republican candidate for US Senate, has caused social media buzzing as he makes plans for a 2022 Senate bid as well as a possible Presidential bid in the future.

Here is all you need to know about John Anthony Castro

Castro, 36, on 31st January 2020, announced his move to challenge incumbent US Senator John Cornyn. The young German-born son of a decorated Army Special Forces father, besides his endeavors in American politics, also happens to be the founding partner of Castro & Co., a law firm headquartered in Washington, DC, with branches in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Seattle, and Dallas. Other than having made a successful entrepreneurial stride, Castro has earned great repute as an author of numerous scholarly legal articles published in Tax Analysts and the Nevada Law Journal among many others. However, what he’s most remembered for is the International Tax Online Law Journal, which received recognition by NYU law, as an authoritative source for legal articles.

The accolades of Castro range far beyond this. As the pioneer of AiTax Software – a software program that engages with users to recognize tax planning opportunities – Castro attained immense fame and reverence as a notable alum of Georgetown University Law Center and for being one of the firsts to implement artificial intelligence (AI) in tax preparation. In the past few years, Castro has particularly been visible to the American public mostly through his initiatives in politics, contributions through entrepreneurship, and works of authorship – all of which have fetched him success.

In the near future, it’ll be interesting to witness the journey of the young politician cum entrepreneur and whether or not he is able to make waves of change for good!
